Driving at night without headlights isn’t an option — you can’t see where you’re going, and other drivers can’t see you.
If your headlights fail, try switching to high beams. If that doesn’t work, turn on your parking lights and emergency flashers and pull off the road. If possible, stop in a well-lit area away from the road. Call for help. In Texas, you can call 800-525-5555 for non-emergency assistance. This toll-free hotline is printed on the back of all Texas driver’s licenses and ID cards.
